Welcome to Decorative Stitches and thank you for your interest in our embroidery designs. All of our designs are original creations manually digitized by us in house. We use only licensed art work for any design we create. You will find some of our designs are exclusive to us while others were digitized using limited edition art work.

The terms of use for any embroidery design or design set purchased from Decorative Stitches are outlined below. Purchasing any design or design set from us signifies your agreement with these terms.

Copyrights

Every design sold on this web site is copyrighted by Decorative Stitches, or by a third party giving Decorative Stitches full permission to sell their designs on their behalf. These copyrights are held exclusively by Decorative Stitches, or by said third party where applicable, and are not transferable. All rights are reserved.

All design photos and images found on our web site are copyrighted property of Decorative Stitches and may not be used without permission.

Usage

The purchase of any design grants a license to use to the original purchaser only. You do not own these designs, but merely a license to use them. You may sew these designs on your embroidery machine(s) for any of the following purposes:

• You may sew the design(s) on items intended for personal use.
• You may sew the design(s) on items you intend to give away as gifts.
• You may sew the design(s) on items intended for resale.

Restrictions

At no time may the actual digital stitch files of any design be resold, copied, shared, given away, traded or made available for download individually or as part of a set or group of designs. Modifying a design or any portion of a design in no way alters these terms. All design stitch files, text files and other included documents remain copyrighted property of Decorative Stitches.

Free Sample Designs

Sample embroidery designs are provided free of charge for the sole purpose of offering the embroiderer an opportunity to try out some of our designs. All free designs that are downloaded from this web site are subject to the same copyrights and terms of use outlined above.

Disclaimer

1)  All of our designs have been fully tested on one or more of our embroidery machines prior to being released for sale. We can not be held liable for any damage to goods resulting from the use of our designs. As a general practice we recommend test sewing any design prior to sewing it on the actual garment or fabric. Using proper stabilizing and hooping techniques will insure good quality sew outs.

2)  While it is generally accepted that most designs may be resized up to 20%, we accept no responsiblity for the quality of any design that has been resized. Resizing, even in small amounts, can drastically alter the design. Resizing designs without properly adjusting density, stitch lengths and other design properties can produce undesireable results.
